HISTORY

Formed in 2002, the Council has successfully served as the forum for planning, funding, and implementation of outreach programs and construction of several fuel reduction projects. Nine fuel reduction plans covering all of western Shasta County have been developed and updated. The Shasta County Fire Safe Trailer is the centerpiece of the outreach program and is displayed at several events annually.
