Cassel Fire

The dedication of the Board of Directors and the SCFSC public relations steering committee have worked diligently from last September till now meeting every two weeks to take the Shasta County Fire Safe Council into 2012 and the up coming fire season. The kick-off will be the Logging Convention at Anderson Fairgrounds February 9,10, 11. Thursday starts 12:30 to 5 and will host kids from schools. Friday 9 to 5 and Saturday from 9 to 3:30.

The Fire Safe Council is very excited to present this new web site and tell you of the wonderful additions to fire safety we have administrated. New for the Council are building Industry Standards from Ken Swanson The ‘Owner’ Builder, for construction as they relate you your primary investment, your home. He will be answering any and all construction related questions and networking local contractors. Product  from the building industry will be present at the Logging Convention to demonstrate fire mitigation. A scale model of a home will be a ‘hands on’  user friendly presentation of a before/after Fire Safe house. Cal Fire personnel  will be on hand to present information on defensible space. And of course, the Fire Safe Trailer with many visual aids and hand-outs for your edification.

The Fire Safe Council is always looking for responsible community minded individuals who would like to be a partner in service. Stop by the booth and ask how your skils can be a part of the Fire Safe Council. Also, donations are graciously accepted.
